Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings, fit, tack and install pipe of various sizes and be experienced with various types of piping such as carbon, stainless steel, steel, copper and plastic. Possession of a trade license and current WHMIS certificate is required.

• Photocopying, typing, scanning and fax distribution for the department.

• Planning and scheduling.
• Contract drawings and specification interpretation.
• Managing the contractor’s review of shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Liaison with design firms to coordinate constructability, questions (RFI process), and the coordination of extra work.
• Knowledge and use of project cost budgets including setting up and maintaining programs required to assist in ensuring that project budgets and forecasts are met.
• Procurement of construction materials, equipment, and tools in concert with head office support departments.

Requirements:

• Ability to effectively communicate on a professional basis.
• Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft software such as Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of CPM scheduling and planning tools particularly Primavera software would be an asset.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have recently successfully completed a post secondary education in a technical program.
• Must be willing to travel and work overtime as required.
• Able to work with little or no supervision.

Requirements:

Candidate must have a valid Trade license as a Plumber, Millwright or Pipefitter with 3 or more years of experience in a leadership role.

Excellent communication, both written and oral, is required.

Familiarity with cost control is an asset.

Must be willing to relocate.

Successful candidates will possess a relevant Post Secondary Diploma/Degree with experience (5+ years for Intermediate and 10+ for Senior) in civil works (Earthworks, Utility, Concrete/Architectural) and/or estimating.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must and a CGS Certification/PQS Designation would be beneficial.

• Responsible for the development functions, with the focus on costeffectiveness and day to day operations, of the Leduc Facility.
• The role acts as a strong liaison between NAC Industrial projects, Leduc Facility, Equipment Division and Purchasing Division to facilitate all requisitions and provide procurement support in accordance with NAC policy.
• The role will involve a high level of analysis in sourcing options from the development of the initial supplier relationship to management and distribution of all equipment and tools while maintaining strong communication with VP Industrial and Equipment Division Manager.
• The Manager is required to have a high level awareness of activities and requirements for each project and the Facility. This role is intended to provide a strong resource to all NAC Industrial projects and availability to participate in all pertinent issues is essential.
